Step by step
- Open your chat with Sonic on WhatsApp.
- Say who to contact and what to find out: “Ask Dana (054-123-4567) when the invoice will be ready.” You can also share their contact card and then say what to ask.
- Sonic shows you how it will open the conversation. Reply “yes” to send it, or say what to change — “make it warmer”, “send it tomorrow at 9”.
- Sonic messages the person, introducing itself as your assistant, and follows up once if the answer is unclear.
- When they answer, Sonic tells you the result. Ask “did Dana reply?” any time, or send /tasks to see what's running.
What Sonic can do
- Collect an answer, confirm a time, pass on a message or chase a document.
- Contact several people in one request, each with their own question.
- Send now or later: “tomorrow at 10, ask Tom if he signed the contract”.
- Remember people you shared as contact cards, so next time you can just say their name.
- Write in your language, and always say it is your assistant.
What it can't do (yet)
- Pretend to be you — every conversation opens by saying it's your assistant.
- Message people late at night — first messages go out between 8am and 9pm in their time zone.
- Run more than one task at a time or contact more than 3 people a day — cancel a task to start another.
- Contact anyone who asked it to stop — they are never messaged again.
- Message WhatsApp groups — outreach is one-to-one.
- Read photos or voice notes the person sends back — it asks them to type the key detail.

Questions
Can an AI send WhatsApp messages for me?
Yes. With Agent Sonic on the Pro plan, tell it who to message and what to ask. It messages them from Sonic's WhatsApp number as your assistant, handles the back-and-forth, and tells you the answer.
Will the person know it's an assistant?
Yes. Sonic always opens by saying it is your assistant reaching out on your behalf, and it never pretends to be you.
What if they don't answer?
Sonic waits up to 24 hours after its last message without nagging, then tells you they didn't reply. You can cancel a task any time with /task cancel.
What if they don't want to be contacted?
If they reply “stop” or ask to be left alone, Sonic apologises, ends the conversation at once, and never messages that number again.
