Plan: All plans · Setup time: 1 minute
Step by step
- Open your chat with Sonic on WhatsApp.
- Write what and when, in plain words: “Remind me in 20 minutes to take the laundry out.”
- For a repeating reminder, say how often: “Every Monday at 9 remind me to send the timesheet.”
- Sonic confirms the time. When it's due, the reminder arrives as a normal chat message on WhatsApp.
- To see or cancel reminders, just ask: “What reminders do I have?” or “Cancel the bank reminder.”
What Sonic can do
- One-time reminders: “in 2 hours”, “tomorrow at noon”, “on the 15th at 8am”.
- Recurring reminders: daily, weekly, monthly, or every hour within a window (“every hour from 4pm to 10pm”).
- Group reminders: scheduled messages posted into a WhatsApp group — standups, rent, practice times.
- Time zones and daylight saving, handled automatically.
- On Pro, set a reminder by sending a voice note.
What it can't do (yet)
- Call or ring you — reminders arrive as chat messages, so keep notifications on for the app you use.
- Keep unlimited reminders — up to 150 active at once on paid plans (25 on the free trial).
Try asking
- “Remind me tomorrow at 9 to call the bank.”
- “Every Sunday at 8pm remind me to plan the week.”
- “In the group: every weekday at 9:30 post ‘standup time’.”
- “Move my dentist reminder to 5pm.”
Questions
Can WhatsApp send me a reminder at a set time?
Not in plain words on its own. With Agent Sonic you write the reminder as you'd say it — “tomorrow at 9, call the bank” — and it messages you in the chat at that time.
Can I set a recurring reminder in WhatsApp?
Yes. Tell Sonic how often — “every Monday at 9”, “on the 1st of every month”, “every hour from 4pm to 10pm” — and it repeats until you cancel it or until the end date you give.
Can I send reminders to a WhatsApp group?
Yes. Add Sonic to the group and ask it to post a reminder there, once or on a schedule. A group needs one subscribed member, or it uses the group's free trial.
